Hebrews 10:23-25 – “Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.”
There is a lot of encouragement in these verses. We can trust God, he is faithful, and we need to continue to pursue Him; doing good to others (at a safe distance). The last verse urges us not to neglect meeting together. Some may interpret this verse to say that we should be physically meeting as a church instead of keeping our doors closed. We cannot wait to re-open our doors and meet corporately, but until we receive the ‘go-ahead’ from our government, we will follow their guidelines. Their guidance is for our safety, not to restrict us from worshipping. So let’s remember to encourage one another and connect online each Sunday.
The ZOOM app is a personal way to stay connected with church friends. We have a variety of groups that are utilizing this unique tool and would love for you to join the connection. The meeting links are listed below.
Prayer on Facebook is another way to connect. We do that on the Living Hope Church Facebook page, with our Director of Prayer Ministries, Cindy Sheehy. Cindy hosts a live prayer meeting on Facebook every Saturday at 9 am. You can send prayer requests to the Living Hope Church Facebook page, as well as emailing them to prayer@LHCweb.org. Join Cindy on Saturday as she leads us in a beautiful time of prayer for our church, our community, our nation, and the needs of our church.
Thank you for staying connected and remaining faithful in your giving. Our church is so blessed to have a committed community of people like you. We are looking forward to the day when we can worship together in person. Until then, we will stay connected through our weekly emails and our connection sites.
