A Tuesday Update from Living Hope Church

CATEGORY: News

This past Sunday was a grand celebration of our nation’s Independence. It was wonderful to see more familiar faces during our morning service! LHC Kids Ministry also welcomed back our 1st -5th graders. This coming Sunday, we will welcome back the 3 and 4-year-olds and the Kinder Beach class. (You can get details on the LHC Kids return at http://www.lhcweb.org) Our pastoral team, Pastors Doug, Bryan, Bill, and Tiffany did a phenomenal job sharing the first message of our July series, “FREEDOM”. If you missed this past Sunday, you can watch it here:

The Pastoral Search Committee shared an update concerning the pastoral candidates. This committee is working diligently to bring us closer to welcoming our new Lead Pastor. Continue to support this committee in prayer and for our future pastor.

Sunday night, we had a fantastic Independence Celebration on our parking lot. We saw hundreds of our church family and friends join together for great food from Mission BBQ, fun games and fellowship, connections with our new friends at 20th Century Missionary Baptist Church, and a beautiful fireworks display. It was so much fun getting to meet new people and catching up with some of our church family that has been away sheltering in place.

Our LHC Youth continues to meet every Wednesday at 7 pm, for a time of discipleship, fun, and fellowship. Be in prayer for this great ministry as Pastor Bryan and Hannah and their team of volunteers disciple our Youth.

Finally, LOVE WEEK 2020 starts July 12th – 19th. We will be providing creative ways to make it easy to live out your faith in front of family, friends, and the community. Due to the COVID-19 virus, our methods to show love for our communities have changed, but our message is still the same, LOVE GOD and LOVE PEOPLE! This coming Sunday, we will have kits available for families to pick up and take home. If you are part of our online congregation, we have packages for you as well. The packages will be available, curbside, on Sunday, July 12th, from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm.

More details on Love Week 2020 will be available this coming weekend.
