Easter Eggstravaganza
Please Note: No EGGSTRAVAGANZA in 2017
For the past 5 years, Living Hope Church has had the honor of providing our community with a free egg hunt during the Easter season. The Eggstravaganza has gained national attention and has become a tradition for many local families. As a church, every year we reassess and reevaluate each of our events to determine if we will continue. Our mission at LHC is “Bringing the hope, love and purpose of God to ALL people”. There are children in our community that are unable to participate in traditional egg hunts. In 2017, Living Hope Church is going to shift our focus from The Eggstravaganza to a Special Egg Event. The Special Egg Event is for children with special needs.

The Special Egg Event will feature multiple egg hunts:

  • A Quiet Egg Hunt for children on the Autism Spectrum or children with sensory processing issues who need a quieter environment.
  • A Magnetic Egg Hunt for children with wheelchairs or mobility restrictions. Magnetic eggs and poles allow children to collect eggs.
  • A General Egg Hunt for children with other disabilities and siblings of children involved in the other hunts.

The Special Egg Event will take place at Living Hope Church on Saturday, April 1, 2017. This FREE event is for children 3 to 16 years old. All families must register for this event.

The Easter Eggstravaganza is “The Midwest’s Largest Community Easter Egg Hunt”. This free, fun and safe event has exploded since its inception in 2011. It includes over 200,000 candy filled easter eggs, prize eggs that contain anything from bubbles to bikes, 2 helicopter candy drops, and bounce houses. 20,000 people pour into the Lake County Fairgrounds to experience this one-of-a-kind event. Our Eggstravaganza was named #4 on Fodors.com list of “The World’s Most Epic Easter Egg Hunts.” This is just one of the many ways that Living Hope Church pours back into the community!

PRESS COVERAGE

F.A.Q.

Yes, we have taken every precaution to ensure the safety of all our attendees. We will have police presence as well as security volunteers in all areas of the Fairgrounds.
One parent will be allowed to help their child hunt in the 0-2yrs & 3-5yrs areas ONLY! Also, strollers will not be allowed in ANY of the hunting areas so we ask that you park them in our designated stroller parking areas.
The gates open at 7am and the candy drops and hunts will start at 10am. But there will be plenty of activities like inflatable games and face painting for your kids to enjoy in between those times. So plan to get there in plenty of time for your family to enjoy the activities before the drops and hunts.
We will only have one egg hunt time @ 10:30, but two helicopter candy drops.
The candy drops will be @ 10:10 & 10:50. We ask that you plan on attending ONLY ONE drop so others can enjoy.
