“For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.” – 2 CORINTHIANS 4:17-18 (NLT)
This scripture isn’t telling us to ignore the challenges we are facing. It instructs us not to fixate on them to the point we lose sight of God’s plan. The ultimate plan is for us to share the love of Jesus with all and keep our lives committed. If we can do that, the troubles and challenges we face will feel smaller and pass. Every day we need to do our part to continue our commitment to Jesus and share His love with all we come in contact with.
