“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” – Hebrews 11:1
Faith is often much easier to have for others than yourself. We are willing to pray for others or agree in faith for their needs to be met; however, in our challenges, it doesn’t always play out that smooth. When we face times of doubt or trouble, we need to put our faith into practice and trust God for the answers we seek. When pressed, our faith is what will carry us through. Just walking in it is sometimes more complicated than we remember. Because of this, we need to live in it every day, and then when trials come, you are going to be more prepared for what you face.
This Sunday, we continue with our July series on “FREEDOM.” Pastor Bryan has a special message prepared on “Freedom from Fear.” We are also opening more phases in our LHC Kids ministry. This week we welcome children ages 2-3 along with 3-4’s. Our LHC Kids now has a ministry for ages 2-Grade 5 on Sundays. The standards for keeping our children safe can be viewed on our COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Preparedness page here.
This week LHC celebrates LOVE WEEK. Our congregation is finding creative ways to share the HOPE, LOVE, and PURPOSE of God with people in our community. From sending flowers to encourage someone or providing a meal to a family, our church is LOVING GOD and LOVING PEOPLE. This Sunday, you can be part of helping to start a pantry by donating non-perishable food items. We are partnering with an organization called “Bridges to Possibilities.” This incredible organization provides help and support to families and children with special needs. A cart for the donated food will be in the lobby for your convenience.
Living Hope YOUTH had an impactful service last night, filled with ministry and fun. They had over 40 in Youth, and five young people raised their hands to give their hearts to Jesus. Our LHC Kids ministry continues to reach out to the Kids of our church and community, offering live classes on Sundays and videos and lessons for those at home. For more info on LHC, Kids visit their Facebook page here. Praise the Lord for the life-change that is happening as a result of the ministries at Living Hope.
This Sunday at 5 pm, we have the return of our Young Adults meeting at LHC. Pastor Bill & Erin Cumbee lead our Young Adults and will have a time of sharing and engagement with the over 18 and under 30 something age group. Join them this Sunday at 5 pm in the Café at Living Hope.
