Living Hope Church Family,
“Words are containers for power, you choose what kind of power they carry.” Joyce Meyer
Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. There is incredible power in words. They can build up, and they can destroy. They can encourage, and they can discourage. They can heal, and they can harm. Choosing how to use your words matters most.
Our enemy, the devil, knows the power of words. He uses them to whisper lies and insecurities into our hearts. He lies to you because he wants you to think like he thinks. However, our words have more power than his words. We can speak life and cancel his curses.
Even more powerful than our word is God’s words. Like the men on the road to Emmaus said, “His words burn within us.” He merely speaks, and the world is created. He loves us so much that He generously gave us His Holy Word to be a guide and foundation for our life.
Speak words of life. Speak the Word of God. Cancel words of death. That’s the gift God gave us with words.
Speaking of gifts, the first person who comes up to me on Sunday, March 7, and says, “There is power in my words”, will receive a Starbucks gift card from me.
I love you all, and I am praying for you.
Hope Lives Here,
