In Jesus’ conversation with the Samaritan woman, He reveals that true worship is not about a particular place, style, ritual, or outward expression—it begins with a heart fully surrendered to God. Jesus calls us to worship “in spirit and truth,” with our spiritual eyes open to see who He truly is and with a life that honestly reflects what we believe about Him. When our hearts bow before God, our actions follow. True worship happens when we move beyond religion to genuinely know Jesus, surrender to Him, and recognize His worth above everything else.
