The Gospel of John pt. 29 - Rick Cochran

What does it really mean to live in the will of God? In John 4:34, Jesus says, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent me and to accomplish His work.” For Jesus, doing the Father’s will wasn’t simply an obligation—it was His purpose, priority, and satisfaction. In this message, we’ll explore what Scripture teaches about God’s will and discover that following it doesn’t have to be mysterious or complicated. God calls us to shift our focus from ourselves and the changing values of the world to His good, pleasing, and perfect will. He invites us to walk humbly, pursue holiness, love mercy, do what is right, and live in a way that reveals His character to the world. And we don’t have to figure it out on our own—God promises to equip and strengthen us with everything we need to accomplish His will. May our prayer be, “Teach me to do your will, for you are my God! Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground!” — Psalm 143:10
