Summer is synonymous with fruit. Whether it’s ice-cold watermelon at the picnic, fresh-picked strawberries for jam, or just snacking on some juicy Michigan cherries, summer is the season for the best fruit.
The same can be true for our spiritual lives. Jesus challenged us in John 15 to bear fruit. Obviously, He didn’t mean for us all to plant orchards, farms, and gardens. Instead, He was talking about spiritual fruit. We can see a list of what He was referring to in Galatians 5.
Galatians 5:22-23 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
Beginning July 11, our entire church will be studying these spiritual fruits that God desires for us. We are excited for LHC Kids, LHC Youth, and the adult service to all be exploring the same subject. In addition, we will offer a 5-week Life Group semester, specifically coordinated with the Summer Fruit message series.
Join us this summer as we dig into some summer fruit!
